This unit was 100% donated and is valued at several thousand dollars. Not only will it allow the City of Echo to receive more library materials and books, but it also gives the area a clean, modern upgraded look.

We also want to give a big shout out to our Public Works crew for traveling to the west side of the state to bring the depository back to Echo and helping get everything installed. Great teamwork all around!

“We are currently in the process of changing out the locks and preparing the unit for service, we expect it to be operational later this month and will continue to keep the community updated,” said Echo Librarian Ana Lemmon.

Thank you again to Multnomah County for supporting small communities and helping us improve library services here in Echo!
