While the Echo Cemetery District is a separate taxation district with its own board of directors, the city frequently receives inquiries about the cemetery and its history.

The library also has a copy of a book with information on the people buried there before about 1990 for those who are doing genealogical research. In some instances there is information on dates and places of birth and death, parents names and spouses names and date of marriage.
