The City of Echo welcomes you to the 12th annual Red to Red Mountain Bike Race.
Mountain bike riders of all skill levels can look forward to an excellent experience whether you are an enduro rider looking to get some early season peddling in, an Elite Pro XC racer looking to ease into the season or any other rider in between just looking to have fun.
The first wave will take off from Main Street as Pro/Elite and Cat 1 riders racing the classic long course are the first wave start racing at 11:00 am. The tough and seasoned Cat 2 riders racing the middle course start racing at 11:15 am. Finally, the adventurous and fun loving Cat 3 riders racing the short course begin at 11:30 am.
Categories
This year, Echo Red to Red will be adding all 29 categories of the Oregon XC Series. The traditional categories we have used remain intact, but this year there will be more age break downs in the different categories for both men and women.

Inclement Weather
We are holding the race this year on the third weekend in March, rather than the traditional first week, in hopes to eliminate any chance of snow covering the course and having to postpone dates as we have had to do in the past. Thanks to everyone that raced with us last year even after having to change plans and re-schedule.

For 2020, we have even more bicycle industry support. Giant Bicycles, is once again behind our event with more raffle prizes and critical course marking materials. Endura Cycling Apparel has increased their participation this year with more gear and promotions for the riders. Hammer Nutrition will again be providing aid station assistance and supplements along with rider support during the race.
The 2020 Echo Red to Red MTB race promises to be the best yet. Your journey to our small Eastern Oregon town and unique desert singletrack trails will not disappoint.
Locale
Once again this year, the event will completely take over Main Street and more for the day. Echo Red to Red is a local community event and the town is humbled to receive mountain bike riders from all around the Northwest.
The City of Echo and its people work hard to make the event a memorable one. Key businesses include members of the Sno Road Winery, Butter Creek Coffee, Echo Kiwanis, the Umatilla Masonic Lodge, H & P Cafe, and all the many local volunteers who come together to make Echo Red to Red happen.
